law firm connections

Postby jaclynurso » Fri Aug 14, 2009 12:25 pm

I am a Judge Advocate in the Marine Corps, a Captain. I have practiced law in the Marine Corps for five years. I have been a legal assistance attorney, a criminal defense attorney and an operational law attorney for a Battalion of Marines in support of OIF. I have also served in billets outside of the practice of law during my Marine Corps career. I want to find a job as an attorney in NYC. I understand Cameron-Brooks has connections to the business world, but do those connections include law firm connections? Is your company useful to my specific choice of practicing law as a civilian, or should I look elsewhere? If so, where should I look?

We do not represent any law firm clients so we will not be a good source for your transition or career search. I do not know of any other military recruiting firm that works with Judge Advocate type officers and I am not well versed in recruiting firms focused on lawyers. I wish I could provide you with direction but it is just not my area of expertise. I wish you the best of success and thank you for your service.
